About Property Lantern
Property Lantern turns county, municipal, and public records into one clear picture of a property — built for people who work property every day, not just once in a while.
Why we built this
Property records exist — deeds, mortgages, tax history, ownership — but they’re scattered across county offices, municipal systems, and formats that were never designed to be searched quickly or understood at a glance. Property Lantern exists to close that gap: pull the real records into one place, present them plainly, and let you decide what they mean instead of guessing.
What we believe
Real records, not a black box
Every fact on Property Lantern traces back to an actual county, municipal, or public source — not a proprietary score you have to take on faith. If we show you a number, we can show you where it came from.
Plain language over jargon
Property research is confusing enough without inventing new vocabulary. We'd rather say "this owner doesn't live at the property" than hide it behind a badge that needs its own tooltip.
Useful before it's impressive
We'd rather ship something narrow that actually works than something broad that only looks good in a demo. That's why Property Lantern started with one thing — clear property search — before adding anything else.
Where we are today
We’re currently focused on Jasper and Newton County, Missouri — going deep in one place before expanding, rather than spreading thin everywhere at once. Search, research, and opportunity intelligence tools are live today; relationship and portfolio tools are next on the roadmap.
